Knowledge, compassion, and service. Assumption University now offers a direct-admission Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) that prepares the student to be a professional nurse who provides high-quality, patient-centered health care. A rigorous program of foundational courses and nursing courses coupled with clinical education in acute-care, community-based, and simulation environments provide a solid education to promote the health of individuals, families, and communities across the globe. Assumption’s direct-admission structure allows applicants to begin the program the same year in which they are admitted.
Students who pursue a degree in nursing at Assumption are provided a strong liberal arts education that will allow for well-reasoned decision-making; engage in critical thinking; communicate effectively by writing clearly and thoughtfully; and make ethical decisions that respect the fundamental dignity of every human person.
The University is currently planning a new facility for the nursing program that would include a state-of-the-art Clinical Skills and Simulation Laboratory to augment the acute care and Community-based clinical experiences.
