The Office of Student Accounts is responsible for:
- Maintaining the online Student Account Center (SAC). The SAC is a secure online portal that presents comprehensive student account information including a summary, activity & billing statements with options to pay your bill including enrolling in a payment plan.
- Processing student refunds
- Issuing 1098T Federal tax forms
- Completing the state-mandated health insurance form
Your Nelnet Student Account Center in Student Portal
Assumption University follows a policy of billing students directly. Students receive their billing statements electronically through their Student Account Center within student portal at https://myportal.assumption.edu.
Students can add authorized party access to parents and others through their student account center in student portal using the add Authorized Party button. Once the authorized party is added, they will receive an email from Nelnet to create their online account. If you have questions pertaining to student account center, the add authorized party invite, or enrolling in a payment plan please call 800-609-8056.
The SAC presents comprehensive student account information including account summary, activity and billing statements with options to pay your bill and enroll in a payment plan for the fall and spring semesters. Bills for each semester are available prior to the beginning of each semester. Students receive their billing statements electronically through their student portal. Initial access to the Student Account Center is only given to the student due to Federal student privacy regulations. Only a student can authorize payers – such as a parent or family member – to access their account.
How to access the Student Account Center:
- Log in to the Assumption University portal at https://myportal.assumption.edu (user name @assumption.edu & password). New students receive their login information from the admitted student portal.
- Once logged in, click on the Student Account Center tab.
- Since additional family members are frequently an important partner in this process, once logged into the SAC, you can extend invitations to additional participants to help manage the account. Click the Add Authorized Party button, to share account access to anyone you would like to help manage your Assumption University student account as an authorized party.
- Once you added an authorized party, the authorized user will receive an email from Nelnet with instructions on how to create their online account.
- To view account activity, click on Transaction Detail there you can view your charges, financial aid or view the Make a Payment tab.
- To view an e-bill, which is a snapshot of your account at a point in time, click on VIEW Current STATEMENT once statements are available.
- One-time payments can be made electronically through the Student Account Center. These payments post in real-time, 24/7 Under Make a Payment tab.
- Options to enroll in a payment plan through the Student Account Center are available through the Set up a PAYMENT PLAN TAB.
Payment plans are not available for intersession or summer semesters.
Payment Due Dates:
- Graduate Summer 2024 is due May 17, 2024.
- Undergraduate Summer 1 2024 is due May 22, 2024.
- Undergraduate Summer 2 2024 is due June 30, 2024.
- Undergraduate Fall 2024 payment is due July 18, 2024.
Assumption University utilizes Nelnet for monthly installment payment plans. Information on the payment plans available can be found in the Student Account Center.
Financial aid, loans, payments must be received by the payment due date each semester. Accounts not paid in full whether by direct payment, financial aid or payment plan by the due date will be assessed a late fee of $150.00. A late application for financial aid by a student does not excuse late fees charged by the University.
Students will not be considered officially registered until their bill is paid. Payments are applied to a student’s bill in the order of past due balance, fines, fees including room and board, miscellaneous charges and finally tuition.
