Professor Hassel has spent 18 years in Emergency Medicine cinical practice. During this time, she has also taught at various Physician Assistant programs, precepted many students, and played a role in facilitation of an Emergency Medicine post-graduate program for new advanced practice practitioners.
In addition, Professor Hassel has sat on the Assumption University PA Program Advisory Board during the ARC-PA accreditation process, disciplinary PA board for the RIDOH, and is a current member of local and national PA associations.
Her real passion is education, teaching students to be future leaders in the PA profession, and to remain steadfast in goals and values in an ever-evolving healthcare landscape.
