MLK Jr. Annual Community Breakfast
Assumption University and Quinsigamond Community College are hosting the 40th Annual Community Breakfast on Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2025 in the Plourde Recreation Center. The annual event celebrates and honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through musical selections, speeches from distinguished community members, and the distribution of scholarships and community service awards.
This year’s keynote speaker will be Dr. Kellie Carter-Jackson, Associate Professor of Africana Studies and Chair of the Africana Studies Department at Wellesley College. She is also the author of the award-winning book, Force and Freedom: Black Abolitionists and the Politics of Violence, which won the SHEAR James H. Broussard Best First Book Prize.
